Nishi NewActon, Canberra

NewActon is a mixed use precinct with hospitality, landscaped gardens, art, retail, residential and commercial spaces all linked by an inspired vision. The final piece in NewActon’s residential development puzzle was Nishi, completed in 2014. The uniquely designed 220 residential apartment complex is now Canberra’s most sustainable building. The apartments have an eight-star NatHERS rating average featuring solar passive design, rainwater collection and sustainable materials in its construction. Kennedy’s was approached to provide a number of mixed reclaimed and sustainable timbers.
