Developed by Leighton Properties and designed by Bligh Voller Nield (BVN) this $330 million project is a chic addition to Brisbane’s burgeoning Fortitude Valley.
With 12 floors and 40,000sqm of office space, HQ also features a 3,000sqm retail area and pedestrian plaza, with plans for a boutique grocer, deli and high end restaurant in the pipeline.
Approached by Leighton Properties, Kennedy’s supplied over 5.3 kilometres of 125x18mm Grade RFG1 Classic Aged Recycled Blackbutt completing the internal doors, walls and ceiling cladding.
In addition to this 1.2 kilometres of Kennedy’s Grade RFG1 Classic Aged Recycled Blackbutt forms the tread and railings of the stunning staircases, designed by Arden Architectural.
BVN lead designer Rob Vider said “the project incorporates natural elements to capitalise on energy efficiency.”
A natural alternative to traditional building products, Kennedy’s Green Star Timbers complement the modern design and environmental criteria. Kennedy’s is proud to have contributed to yet another Brisbane City signature project.
Commended for its sustainability achievements, HQ has been awarded a six star green rating from the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).
