Project Profile

Energex will soon take possession of their new, state of the art corporate headquarters, located in Brisbane’s inner city suburb of Newstead.

This innovative six-story urban renewal development has been recognised by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) having been awarded a 6 Star Green Star – Office Design v2 certified rating, the first award of this kind in Queensland.

With commercial buildings representing a significant impact on the environment the GBCA introduced the ‘Green Star’ rating system. Established to evaluate overall environmental building design and construction, the Green Star system institutes a common set of standards in development of this kind. Above all, the Green Star rating is creating an environmental awareness that is rapidly becoming a commercial imperative and not just a secondary consideration.

From its gleaming façade through to the energy, water and waste saving technology that lie under the skin, Energex is sure to shine on every level.

Representing a significant achievement in design, technology, and environmental awareness, this building sets a precedent for sustainability design and technology, not just in Australia but worldwide. A true landmark building with the global recognition afforded by its 6 Star Green Star rating.
