Oregon also known as Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziessi)

Milled from the vast softwood forests of north America and Canada this species was imported into Australia and used extensively in general construction. Colour ranges from yellow-brown to pale reddish brown with tight and loose knots frequently occurring. Generally straight grained with very pronounced growth rings which give this species its unique appeal.

Available as a recycled product in a wide range of sizes and frequently re-machined and used for cladding, lining and joinery applications. The re-machined timber can be used as is or given a smokey grey or lime wash finish to highlight the unique properties of this species.
